Winding up 2009

Do you remember the 100 Day Challenge? Let’s see, if there were 100 days left in the year on September 21, and today is September 28, that means that, including today, there are 94 days left (unless of course, you’re following from Germany or Australia (thanks, by the way!) and then I guess you’d just better get busy!

I’m not sure why we say the years wind down. I like to think of them as winding up…pulled together and full and fat like a neat ball of colorful yarn that represents the bits and pieces of a life come together well. So, as you wind up this year, my colleague Suzy Graven continues to give great advice on how to keep your objectives in perspective. Be sure to read 94 Days on the Wall to consider some questions I know will be helpful to anyone who wants to focus his or her thoughts and energy. You can tell Suzy is a great coach!

And in the meantime, put a spring in your step and take yourself lightly. Nothing is as dark as it seems, whether you have 94 days, 2,894 or one, life is full of goodness. So as you consider your words, find a tune to carry with you into the week. Here’s one that might work today…Monday, Monday! Happy Monday, my friends!
